This picture appeared in the December 17, 1982 issue of Radio & Records with the following caption:
Orange, VA is somewhat off the beaten path followed by recording artists and Playboy bunnies.
But the staffers of WJMA/Orange are ready just in case, and posed for R&R as if someone actually visited them!
From left, Operations Manger Ross Hunter, morning man Phil Goodwin, News Director Phil Audibert, and afternoon personality Tom Graves.

On the wall behnd everyone are some of the many news awards WJMA received. The three awards on the top right are the prestegious Douglass Southall Freeman award for public service through radio journalism.
A fourth Freeman award would come in 1983. WJMA's "Monday At One" progarm was a frequent winner between 1974 and 1984.

Unfortunately, most of these awards have disappeard over the years. Two of the Freeman awards are still around.
