Microphone "flags" are popular among broadcasters seeking visibilty at public events. This WJMA/Radio Orange flag was homemade. The photograph was taken for an article on how to make a mic flac published in a 1982 edition of the National Association of Broadcasters news letter.
The box was made from sheet plastic sprayed black. The graphics were cut from a WJMA rate card and glued to the plastic box. The box was held on the mic by foam with a hole cut in the middle for the microphone.
