Ken Robinson had been a Senator in the Virginia General Assembly. In 1970 he decided to run for the US 7th Congressional District seat being vacated by John Marsh. Former Ambassador to El Salvador Murat Williams was his Democratic opponent.
This ad was probably placed in the Orange Review by the Robinson campaign announcing his appearance on Monday At One, WJMA's weekly public affairs program.
Republican Robinson served seven terms as the 7th District Representative. He was a frequent Monday At One guest during campaigns. He was succeeded by Republican D. French Slaughter from Culpeper in 1985. Slaughter was also a frequent guest on WJMA.
