One of the benefits of being a member of the Mutual Broadcasting System was access to national sporting events like the World Series. This ad appeared in the September 22, 1950 issue of the Orange Review.
The ad does not mention the teams playing because they had not be determined by the newspaper's ad deadline. Certainly the team names would have gone in the black space under "World Series". The New York Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies four games to none in the 1950 series.
