The American Revolution Bicentennial Commission recognized WJMA for it's "Visions of American...The Next Hundred Years", The series of programs was broadcast on the July 4th 1976 weekend. It featured dozens of Central Virginia residents imagining what the next 100 years would bring to the United States.
John Warner, later Senator form Virginia, was Chairman of the Bicentennial Commission. He not only signed WJMA's recognition certificate, but also participated in the Visions series.
